Method 1: Update your PC device drivers to fix error code 80070103

  • Enter “netsh winhttp import proxy source = ie” in the command line and hit enter.


If you are getting a message displaying that you have dined access this means you need to disable the proxy setting.




  • Launch IE application (Internet Explorer)

  • Click on “Tools” tab

  • Select “Internet Options”

  • Under Connections tab Choose “LAN Settings”.

  • Select “Use a proxy server for your LAN”

  • Enter a Proxy server address

  • Type port number

  • Click “Ok” to save the changes.


This will disable the proxy setting and should fix error code 80070103.



Method 3: Avoid re-installation of driver updates


As I explained earlier there is a chance for your PC to reinstalling your device drivers which may result in conflict. This will result in error code 80070103 because your system is trying to install or update a driver which is up to date. Follow the below steps to perform this task.




  • Open Windows Start button

  • In the search box type “Optional updates are available

  • Click on check for updates

  • Now click on “Hide updates” to avoid reinstalling of updated device drivers.

  • Complete the remaining updates

  • Restart your system
